Pet Urgent Cares is a brand new, fast-paced, compassionate veterinary urgent care clinic dedicated to providing high-quality medical care for pets when they need it most. We bridge the gap between general practice and emergency medicine, offering walk-in urgent care in a supportive, team-driven environment. We are growing and looking for a Veterinarian who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a collaborative setting, and takes pride in providing thoughtful and compassionate care to pets and their families.
Position Overview
As a Veterinarian, you will provide comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats presenting with urgent and same-day concerns. You will evaluate patients, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, communicate clearly with clients, and work closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide an efficient and compassionate urgent-care experience.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and obtain accurate patient histories Diagnose and treat a variety of urgent and same-day medical conditions Develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging Perform medical procedures as appropriate Prescribe and administer medications while providing clear instructions to clients Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up recommendations clearly and compassionately Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow Provide high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining a calm and professional environment
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary program Active veterinary license in Pennsylvania Strong clinical and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and client service skills Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced urgent-care environment Comfortable managing urgent and same-day cases Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care Willingness to contribute to and grow with an expanding veterinary organization
